The inspiration...

Are you navigating uncharted territory?  Do you notice feeling tired? scared?  confused? overwhelmed? angry? alone? grateful? completely calm?  Or perhaps you are noticing all those emotions in a given day?

Why Virtual Self-Care?

The creation of this website was inspired to let you know that your feelings are valid, no matter what they are. You might feel many things at once, like being upset about how COVID has interrupted your routines, but happy that you can lounge in your favorite home attire all day.  Your feelings are normal; the situation is not.  An interruption to routines means making even more of a conscious effort to remember to take time for you.

What is self-care?

Self-care is taking care of our emotions, and mind in the same way we take care of our hygiene.

Mission

Virtual Self Care is a place for students, families, and educators to explore free tools and strategies for creating a customized self-care plan to manage emotions and feelings.

Values

We believe every person is unique.  There is no right or wrong self-care plan and a person's plan can change.  We provide high-quality choices so you can spend more time on self-care.

Vision

Virtual Self Care's dream is to provide free high-quality self-care resources that address the social, emotional, and physical health needs of ages 4 - 100 +.

Thank you to the many colleagues and organizations that have contributed and continue to contribute to this website.

Please do take the time to share your experience.
